Description of key information

For liquids and low melting solids, the primary value for ease of ignition is the flash point (IUCLID section 4.11). Furthermore, in accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI, testing for pyrophoric properties and flammability on contact with water is not necessary due to the absence of structural alerts and the existing experience with handling and use of the test substance (R.7a, ECHA, 2012).

non flammable

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

2,4–dichloronitrobenzene as the main constituent of the substance is not flammable, it has no pyrophoric properties, no flammability in contact with water, is not a self-heating and a self-reactive substance, is not an organic peroxide; and hence no classification according to both Directive 67/548/EEC and GHS (Regulation EC 1272/2008) is required.

For second main constituent of the substance data not yet available, but for 2,6-dichloronitrobenzene as homologous substance the same properties are applied and should also not to be classified.
