Administrative data
First-aid measures
General information: Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately
After inhalation: Ensure supply of fresh air. In the event of symptoms seek medical advice.
After contact with skin: In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with plenty of water
After contact with eyes: In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with water
After ingestion: When swallowed seek medical aid immediately and show the physician the packaging or the label of the packaging.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media:
water spray jet, foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
In case of fires, hazardous combustion gases are formed: Carbon monoxide (CO), Nitrous gases (NOx), Sulphur dioxide (SO2)
Special protective equipment for firefighting: Use self-contained breathing apparatus
Further information
Fire residues and contaminated firefighting water must be disposed of in accordance with the local regulations.
Accidental release measures
Wear suitable personal protective equipment.
Do not allow entry to drains, water courses or soil
Take up with suitable equipment and if necessary collect in closed containers
Clean contaminated floors and objects thoroughly with water and detergents, observing environmental regulations
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling: Observe the usual precautions for handling chemicals
Hygiene measures: Keep away from foodstuffs and beverages. Wash hands before breaks and after work.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Observe the general rules of industrial fire protection
Requirements for storage areas and containers: Keep only in the original container
Further information on storage conditions: Keep container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place, open and handle carefully.

Exposure controls / personal protection
This substance is exclusively used as an intermediate to be consumed in a chemical reaction for the synthesis of other chemical compounds.
During its lifecycle the substance is handled under strictly controlled conditions and is rigorously contained in accordance with Art. 18.
Based on the knowledge of the basic hazards to humans and environment technical, organizational and PPE measures are taken to minimize release and exposure of this substance. National regulatory requirements for the handling of chemicals are also fulfilled. Employees are regularly trained. The efficiency of these measures is controlled e.g. by workplace measurements. In case of deviations these measures are adapted.
General protective measures: Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Observe the usual precautions for handling chemicals.
Respiratory protection : Dust mask
Hand protection : Protective gloves
These types of protective gloves are offered by various manufacturers. Please note the manufacturers´ detailed statements, especially about the minimum thickness and the minimum breakthrough time. Consider also the particular working conditions under which the gloves are being used.
With solid dry substances permeation is not to be expected, therefore the breakthrough-time for this protective glove has not been measured.
Eye protection : safety glasses/face shield
Body protection : protective clothing
Stability and reactivity
Chemical stability: Under normal conditions the product is stable.
Possibility of hazardous reactions: When handled and stored appropriately no dangerous reactions are known. Stable
Disposal considerations
Product: Special waste incineration plant, after consultation with operators
Uncleaned packaging: Packaging that cannot be cleaned should be disposed of as product waste
