Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Based on dry sieve analysis of the test item Reaction product of 2-hydroxybenzoic acid, styrene and oxozinc, more than 80 % of the test item was found to be bigger than 125 μm and no particles with a diameter below 11 μm. As only residues > 90% were determined, the range of the sieves with 10% < Rx < 90% could not be determined.

Additional information

The particle size distribution of Reaction product of 2-hydroxybenzoic acid, styrene and oxozinc was determined following CIPAC MT 169 (Tap Density) and MT 170 (Dry Sieve Analysis). First, the tap density of the test item was calculated as 0.83 g/mL ( = g/cm3). In the following, the particle size distribution of Reaction product of 2-hydroxybenzoic acid, styrene and oxozinc was determined by dry sieve analysis according to CIPAC MT 170. Six sieves of different mesh sizes were used. More than 80 % of the test item was found to be bigger than 125 μm. No particles with a diameter below 11 μm were found. As only residues > 90% were determined, the range of the sieves with 10% < Rx < 90% could not be determined.
