Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No studies investigating the adsorption/desorption behaviour of Fatty acids, C18 unsaturated, trimers, hydrogenated are available. As the substance is a composition of different constituents, the Koc values of well-defined representative structures were calculated with EPISUITE (KOCWIN v2.00). The result is estimated by means of the weight of evidence approach. Log Koc values of 14.2 were calculated, based on molecular connectivity index (MCI). Using the log Kow based method, log Koc values from 11.8 to 12.5 were obtained. These models have no universally accepted definition of model domain, but since the substance is outside the Kow range of the training set, the results should be taken with caution. The definite values may not be fully reliable, but indicate a high adsorption potential, which is also to be expected based on the high log Kow (>10) and low water solubility (<0.001 mg/L). Therefore, it is concluded that Fatty acids, C18 unsaturated, trimers, hydrogenated has high adsorption potential, and no additional tests on adsorption/desorption are needed.
