Conclusion on classification

The information concerning the aquatic toxicity of 2-Propanol, 1,1'-[[3-[(3-aminopropyl)amino]propyl]imino]bis-, N-tallow alkyl derivatives are summarized hereafter:

Acute toxicity to fish (OECD 203 and GLP): LC50 -96h = 79 µg/L in Oncorhynchus mykiss.

Long-term toxicity to daphnia (OECD 211 and GLP): NOEC = 32 µg/L in Daphnia magna

Toxicity to algae (OECD 201 and GLP): ErC50 -72h = 28 µg/L and NOEC = 9.8 µg/L in Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata.

These data tend to indicate that 2-Propanol, 1,1'-[[3-[(3-aminopropyl)amino]propyl]imino]bis-, N-tallow alkyl derivatives is very toxic to aquatic organisms with long lasting effects due to high log Pow (>6) and low potential for biodegradation.

Therefore, 2-Propanol, 1,1'-[[3-[(3-aminopropyl)amino]propyl]imino]bis-, N-tallow alkyl derivatives must be classified as R50/53 with regards to DSD classification and Acute 1 and Chronic 1 categories with regards to the aquatic toxicity under CLP criteria (H400/H410).

Acute aquatic hazard: category Acute 1, M factor: 10

Long-term aquatic hazard: category Chronic 1, M factor: 10
