Description of key information

The key value was determined to be 7.804E-07 mg/L (at 25 °C) by QSAR estimation (EPIWIN/WSKOWWIN v1.42 by US-EPA) (2011).
Further, the water solubility of tris(2-ethylhexyl) 2-(acetyloxy)propane-1,2,3-tricarboxylate was determined in a non-GLP study (2011) according to EU Method A.6 (EC 440/2008). Using the column elution method, the water solubility was determined to be < 0.05 mg/L (20°C) at pH ~7. The water solubility of the test substance is below the detection limit of the analytical method and a more precise value could not be obtained during this test, so the calculated value was taken as key value for chemical safety assessment.
