Description of key information
According to “ANNEX IX- STANDARD INFORMATION REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBSTANCES MANUFACTURED OR IMPORTED IN QUANTITIES OF 100 TONNES OR MORE, study for Stability and reactivity is only required if stability of the substance is considered to be critical.
Expert Judgement
(TEGBE or 2 -(2 -(2 butoxyethoxy) ethoxy)ethanol, as substance from Glycol Ethers Category is stable for long periods.
Glycol Ethers are expected to be stable for the recommended shelf life of 24 months for drums and 6 months for bulk if the container has been unopened and stored under proper handling and storage conditions
Therefore testing for stability and reactivity towards container materialdoes not need to be performed.

The substance is stable on storage and does not react with its container.
