Description of key information

The water solubility of Phosphoric acid, mono- and di- C16-18 (even numbered) alkyl esters is 0.041 g/L (± 0.007) at 20.0ºC (± 0.5).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
0.041 g/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The water solubility of Phosphoric acid, mono- and di- C16-18 (even numbered) alkyl esters was tested according to the method given in Council Regulation (EC) Nº 440/2008 of 30 May 2008. Method A.6 “Water Solubility. Flask Method”.

As mentioned in the “Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment. Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance. May 2008. R.7.1.7 Water Solubility”, an arbitrary figure of 10 NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Units) is selected as a figure above which the solution is deemed to be visibly cloudy.

According to this, the Water Solubility of the test material determined at 20.0 ± 0.5 ºC was 0.041 g/L (± 0.007).
