With high probability acutely not harmful to fish.No toxic effects occur at the range of the substances solubility.LL50 (96h) > 100 mg/L (nominal, WAF) for Brachydanio rerio (OECD 203)
The acute aquatic toxicity of Hexamethylene diisocyanate, oligomers, blocked with dibutylamine on fish was investigated in a GLP guideline study according to OECD 203 [BASF SE, 2012]. The semi-static study used the zebrafish Danio rerio as test species. Based on the low water solubility of the test item a water accommodated fraction (WAF) was prepared and the test was conducted as limit test with a nominal loading concentration of 100 mg/L. After 96 hours of exposure no toxic effects on fish were observed.
