First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Seek medical attention if you feel unwell
or if exposure prolonged. In case of irritation of the
respiratory system or mucous membranes, seek medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with pleanty of water for at least ten
minutes taking care to wash under the eyelids. If irritation
persits, seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with plenty of soap and water. Do not use organic
solvents. Get medical attention if irritation occurs.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Affected persons should drink 500-800 ml water, if possible
with suspended activated carbon for medical use. In case of
spontaneous vomitting be sure that vomitus can freely drain
because of danger of suffocation. Give water repeatedly.
Rinse mouth and then drink plenty of water. Seek medical
attention. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious
person.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, carbon dioxide, foam, dry powder.

Product arising from burning: Carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides, toxic gases/vapours.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing. Wear a self-contained breathing
apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Personal precautions:

Remove all sources of ignition.

Do not breathe vapours/ dust. Avoid contact with skin and
eyes by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
(see section 'Handling').

Environmental precautions:

Prevent entry into sewage systems, ground and surface
waters.

Methods for cleaning-up or taking-up:

Avoid dust formation. Take up spilt material (e. g. by using
an approved industrial vacuum cleaner). Transfer the spilt
product into suitable containers, which must be tightly
sealed and properly labelled.

Dispose of according to local regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: All working methods should always be designed so that inha-
lation of the substance as well as skin and eye contact are
avoided.

Where possible, use closed or at least dustproof equipment
during filling, transfer, metered feeding, and sampling.

In the case of handling the substance in open systems,
extract dust which forms, directly at the point of origin.
If technical extraction or ventilation measures are not
possible or are insufficient, suitable respiratory protec-
tion should be worn.

To avoid skin contact, tested protective gloves and, if
applicable, suitable protective clothing should be worn.

The wearing of eye protection (e.g. safety goggles) is
recommended.

Do not eat, drink or smoke at the workplace.

Avoid creating dusty conditions. Risk of explosion if an
air-dust mixture forms. Inert container or use a system
otherwise designed to prevent or contain an explosion - seek
expert advice.

Storage: Store only in the original containers in a dry and cool
place. Keep them tightly closed and secure them against
falling by taking the appropriate measures.

Avoid residues on the outside of the containers.

Avoid dust formation and ignition sources.

Keep away from food and drink.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: HDPE-Lid-Drum DxH = 335 x 585 mm / gross weight 2,8 kg with
PE-inliner; filling capacity: 20 kg; 9 drums on 1 pallet,
delivered in containers 20ft/40ft as sea freight.
