The model also indicates that with increasing numbers of ethylene oxide units in the molecule, the toxicity of the next lowest member of the homologous series, 2 -(2 -(2 -methoxyethoxy)ethoxy)ethanol is predicted to be LD50=2.8g/L.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Executive summary:

A reliable QSAR describes the NOEC for the chronic toxicity in invertebrates to be 5800mg/l. The model also indicates that with increasing numbers of ethylene oxide units in the molecule, the toxicity further decreases.
