Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
Category 1 (corrosive) based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
Perchloryl fluoride is a strong irritant of the eyes, mucous membranes, and lungs. In high concentration it can produce pulmonary edema as well as methemoglobinemia. Exposure to toxic concentration can produce weakness, syncope, and headache as well as severe respiratory tract irritation and pulmonary edema. Skin contact from the liquid form can produce burns.
