Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The effects of the substance on terrestrial organisms were investigated with soil macroorganisms, soil microorganisms, arthropods, terrestrial plants and birds.

The overall long-term NOEC for the soil macroorganisms except arthropods (Eisenia fetida) is 10 mg a.i./kg dry weight soil.

From Key source study (CAS 56634 -95 -8), the 28-day NOEC for terrestrial arthropods (Folsomia candida) exposed to the present test material was 141 mg a.i./kg dry weight soil.

The NOER (14 d), determined in a vegetative vigour and in a seedling emergence studies, conducted with ten differentes species, was 0.036 mg a.i./kg dws.

The substance showed no effect on nitrogen transformation of the soil microflora up to 5.46 mg a.i./kg dry soil.

Additional information

Experimental data on the toxicity of the substance to terrestrial arthropods are not available. The assessment for arthropods is therefore based on read across data available for the structural analogue (CAS 56634-95-8).

Furthermore, pollinator studies, investigating acute toxicities on adult and larvae, resulted in an overall LD50 value of 0.1 mg a.i./bee and an overall NOED of 0.025 mg a.i./larva.

The overall 21-week NOEC regarding birds dietary toxicity was 100 mg a.i./kg feed (Anas platyrhynchos).
