Description of key information

In a guideline-compliant GLP study, the n-octanol/water partition coefficient of platinum(II) tetraammine diacetate was determined by the shake-flask method and ICP-OES analysis (at Pt wavelengths 214.423 and 224.552 nm) to be < 1.1 x 10-4. This was calculated from a mean log Pow of < -3.94. The partition coefficient was determined at 20 deg C; the pH of the solution was 5.8.
