Results and discussion

Effect concentrations

48 h
Dose descriptor:
NOEC
Effect conc.:
100 mg/L
Nominal / measured:
nominal
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Basis for effect:
mobility
Details on results:
Based on nominal concentrations of diheptyl succinate, the 48−hour EC50 value was empirically estimated to be > 100 mg/L, the highest nominal concentration tested. The No-Observed-Effect Concentration (NOEC) was determined to be 100 mg/L. The highest concentration producing 0% immobilization was 100 mg/L. The lowest concentration producing 100% immobilization was > 100 mg/L.
Additional testing to further define the EC50 value was not performed since the highest nominal concentration tested (100 mg/L) represents the highest concentration required by the OECD testing guidelines.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
