Description of key information

BENZOIN RESIN is a brown solid according to the analytical data from owner company.

The melting point of BENZOIN RESIN was determined to be 23.9°C according to OECD TG 102 using the Differential Scanning Calorimetry method.

The boiling point of BENZOIN RESIN is 211.9°C at atmospheric pressure (101325 Pa) determined in study equivalent to method OECD TG 103 (Antoine equation instead of Clapeyron - Clausius equation).

The vapour pressure of BENZOIN RESIN was investigated using the Transpiration method equivalent to OECD TG 104, gas saturation method. The vapour pressure of the substance was found to be 1.4 Pa at 24°C.

The partition coefficient of BENZOIN RESIN has been determined as log P = 1.3-3.9 at 25°C in a study equivalent to OECD Guideline 117 (HPLC Method).

The water solubility of BENZOIN RESIN was determined to be 43593 mg/l @ 24°C using a study equivalent to OECD TG 105 (Water solubility) using the shake flask method.

The Flash Point of BENZOIN RESIN, at atmospheric pressure of 101300 Pa, is 104°C in study using the closed cup method equivalent to EU Method A.9 (Flash-Point).
