Conclusions:
It has been concluded from an assessment of the phosphoric acid and amine components of phosphoric acid, 2-ethylhexyl ester, compd. with 2,2’-iminobis[ethanol] that this substance is likely to have a high solubility in water.
Executive summary:

An assessment was undertaken for phosphoric acid, 2-ethylhexyl ester, compd. with 2,2’-iminobis[ethanol] based on its phosphoric acid and amine components to determine its water solubility. Phosphoric acid, 2-ethylhexyl ester is a multi-constituent substance consisting of phosphoric acid, 2-ethylhexyl ester (mono-ester) and phosphoric acid, bis(2-ethylhexyl ester) (bis-ester). In phosphoric acid, 2-ethylhexyl ester, compd. with 2,2’-iminobis[ethanol], the acids are fully neutralised by 2,2’- iminobis[ethanol] to give the respective salts. Phosphoric acid, 2-ethylhexyl ester and 2,2’-iminobis[ethanol] are freely soluble in water whereas phosphoric acid, bis(2-ethylhexyl ester) is only sparingly soluble. However, as a result of the ionisation to the phosphate and ammonium groups, phosphoric acid, 2-ethylhexyl ester, compd. with 2,2’-iminobis[ethanol] and phosphoric acid, bis(2-ethylhexyl ester), compd. with 2,2'-iminobis[ethanol] are also expected to be soluble in water. Phosphoric acid, 2-ethylhexyl ester, compd. with 2,2’-iminobis[ethanol] is manufactured as a solution in water and the organic constituents (~40% w/w) are completely dissolved within it, further supporting the high solubility of the substance in water. In conclusion, phosphoric acid, 2-ethylhexyl ester, compd. with 2,2’-iminobis[ethanol] is anticipated to be highly soluble in water.

Description of key information

Phosphoric acid, 2-ethylhexyl ester, compd. with 2,2’-iminobis[ethanol] was determined to be highly soluble in water based on an assessment of its parent acid and amine components; phosphoric acid, 2-ethylhexyl and 2,2’- iminobis[ethanol].
