Specific details on test material used for the study:
Batch number: 9099-72F
Key result
Atm. press.:
100.7 kPa
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
263 °C
Remarks on result:
not determinable

There was a wide shallow endotherm observed in determinations 1 to 4 however this was suppressed when using pre-pierced crucibles (determinations 5 & 6) and resulted in no mass loss based on determinations 3 and 4. Also the remaining reside after determinations 3 and 4 showed little change in appearance from the initial observation. Therefore, while it was not possible to determine the origin of this thermal event, it was not considered significant.

From approximately 263 °C, an exothermic event began which did result in changes in test item appearance and loss of mass. This has been assigned to decomposition of the test item.

As a result of the low rate of enthalpy change during decomposition, the onset temperature could only be approximated.

Conclusions:
As the test item decomposed from approximately 263 °C (536 K) at 100.7 kPa , no value for boiling temperature could be determined.
Executive summary:

The boiling point of the test item has been determined by differential scanning calorimetry, designed to be compatible with Method A.2 Boiling Temperature of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 103 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995.

As the test item decomposed from approximately 263 °C (536 K) at 100.7 kPa, no value for boiling temperature could be determined.
