In the temperature range of 180 °C – 210 °C an endothermic effect (melting) was observed. No further endothermic effects was observed up to the decomposition of the test item in the temperature range of 300 °C – 350 °C, with a mean decomposition energy of approx. 180 J/g. No further thermic effects could be observed up to the maximum measured temperature of 500 °C.

During the heating phase a distinct endothermic effect was observed in the temperature range of 180 – 210 °C, which can be assigned to the melting of the test item. Since no further endothermic effects could be observed up to the decomposition of the test item started at 300 °C, it can be stated that the test item has no boiling point up to its decomposition.

Conclusions:
The test item N-[2-(4-oxo-4H-3,1-benzoxazin-2-yl)phenyl]naphthalene-2-sulphonamide has no boiling point up to its decomposition starting at a temperature of 300 °C at atmospheric pressure (1008 hPa) as determined by differential scanning calorimetry according to Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.2. and OECD Test Guideline 103 (1995).

Description of key information

The test item N-[2-(4-oxo-4H-3,1-benzoxazin-2-yl)phenyl]naphthalene-2-sulphonamide has no boiling point up to its decomposition starting at a temperature of 300 °C at atmospheric pressure (1008 hPa) as determined by differential scanning calorimetry according to Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.2. and OECD Test Guideline 103 (1995).
