Conclusions:
The surface tension of a solution of Citrathal Concentrate S TW in ultrapure water was 52.2 mN/m at 20 °C (1.00 g/L). The test item was considered to be surface-active (surface tension < 60 mN/m).
Executive summary:

The surface tension of a solution of Citrathal Concentrate S TW in ultrapure water (1.00 g/L) was determined according to OECD Guideline No. 115, using the ring method.

The surface tension of Citrathal Concentrate S TW was 52.2 mN/m at 20 °C (1.00 g/L). The test item was considered to be surface-active (surface tension < 60 mN/m).

Description of key information

The determination was carried out in ultrapure water using a Lauda TD 1C tensiometer using a procedure designed to be compatible with Method A5 Surface Tension of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 115 of the OECD Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995. The surface tension of duplicate 90% aqueous saturated solutions of test item has been determined to be 52.2 mN/m at 20 °C. The test item is considered to be surface-active (surface tension < 60 mN/m).
