Description of key information

In a ready biodegradadability test according to OECD 301 B and GLP, a degradation rate of 0 - 10 % was found after 28 days of expsoure (BASF SE, 2016). In another non-GLP study according to ISO 7827 a DOC removal of 90 - 100 % after 28 days was observed; however this studies was disregarded since the acrtivated sludge used in that study was specifically adapted to the test substance. Based on this information, the substance is considered as poorly biodegradable in a strict sense (used for the environmental exposure assessment), however the substance is considered as potentially biodegradable after appropriate adaption of the bacteria (used for the assessment of persistency).
