Additional information

A study was conducted according to EU Method A.9. Flash Point and DIN EN 22719 to determine the flash point of the test item using non-equilibrium closed cup method. A Pensky-Mertens apparatus was used for this purpose. The approximate flash point was determined in a preliminary test. The first ignition trial of the main test is performed at a test item temperature 23 ± 5 °C below the approximate flash point determined in the preliminary test. The flame is dipped in the cup at 1 K intervals. The flash point corrected to standard pressure of 1013 hPa and rounded down to the nearest multiple of 0.5 °C was determined to be 99.5 °C.
