Description of key information

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates (daphnia)

Key study: OECD 202, GLPstudy. The EC50 (48h) of the test item tested on Daphnia magna was 84.58 mg/L, NOEC was detected as 50.0 mg/L and LOEC value was 100 mg/L, based on mobility.

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria

Key study: OECD 201, GLP study. The EC50 (72 h) of the test item in green algae Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was determinated as 65.14  mg/L (growth rate), NOEC value of 12.5 mg/L and LOEC value of 25 mg/L, both based on growth rate.

Additional information

Based on available data from aquatic studies, the substance has to be classified for Aquatic Chronic Category 3, H412 according to CLP Regulation (EC) no. 1272/2008, since the EC50 (48 h) is 84.58 mg/L for daphnia (between 10 and 100 mg/L) and the substance is not readily biodegradable log Kow < 4.
