First-aid measures

- General information: Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice (show the label where possible).- Inhalation : Assure fresh air breathing. Allow the victim to rest.- Skin contact : Remove affected clothing and wash all exposed skin area with mild soap and water, followed by warm water rinse.- Eye contact : Rinse immediately with plenty of water. Obtain medical attention if pain, blinking or redness persist.- Ingestion : Do not induce vomiting. Obtain emergency medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Hazardous combustion products : under fire conditions (from Tª>350 ºC) SO2 can be released in presence of air.Surrounding fires : Use water spray or fog for cooling exposed containers.Protection against fire : Do not enter fire area without proper protective equipment, including respiratory protection.Special procedures : Exercise caution when fighting any chemical fire. Avoid (reject) fire-fighting water to enter environment.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions : Equip cleanup crew with proper protection.Environmental precautions : Prevent entry to sewers and public waters. Notify authorities if product enters sewers or public waters.Clean up methods : Ventilate area. On land, sweep or shovel into suitable containers. Minimize generation of dust.

Handling and storage

Storage : Keep only in the original container in a cool, well ventilated place. Keep container closed when not in use. Storage temperature : 0 - 50 °C.Storage - away from : Strong acids.Handling : Wash hands and other exposed areas with mild soap and water before eat, drink or smoke and when leaving work.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Personal protection: Avoid all unnecessary exposure.Good general ventilation should be sufficient to control worker exposure.- Respiratory protection : Where excessive dust may result, wear approved mask EN 149- Hand protection : In case of repeated or prolonged contact wear gloves.- Eye protection : Chemical goggles or safety glasses.- Ingestion : When using, do not eat, drink or smoke.Occupational Exposure Limits : 10 mg/m3, 8 hr TWA ( Total dust)5 mg/m3, 8 hr TWA ( respirable dust)

Stability and reactivity

Stability and reactivity : Stable.Hazardous decomposition products : At temperatures above 300ºC in the presence of air, Sulphur Dioxide (SO2) gas can released. Hydrogen Sulphide may be released in contact with acids (Not resistant grades).

Disposal considerations

General : Avoid release to the environment. Dispose in a safe manner in accordance with local/national regulations.
