The present study was conducted to determine the boiling point of the test substance. This study was conducted as per the OECD Test Guideline No. No.103, Boiling Point, OPPTS Series, 830.7220 and EEC.A.2.
Test substance decomposed at 342°C at normal atmospheric pressure (estimated accuracy 1°C/minute). Initially the test item was a white solid which on heating melted and turned in to a colorless liquid. Continuation of heating turned the liquid dark brown then to black indicating the decomposition of the test item and no boiling was observed at this point. The boiling point of the test substance was not observed prior to the decomposition point at 342°C when tested at normal atmospheric pressure.
