Executive summary:

The density of the test item was determined with the pycnometer method according to recognized guidelines (EU Method A.3, OECD Guideline 109 and EPA OPPTS 830.7300) and under GLP.

The density of the test item is calculated from the difference in weight between the full and empty pycnometer and its volume.

The of the pycnometer was determined first. The pycnometer was weighed empty. Then it was filled with water, dried on the outside and weighed again. The temperature of the water was measured. The procedure was performed in duplicate. The mean volume of the pycnometer was calculated.

The mean density and relative density of the test item were determined. Measurements were performed at 20.0±0.5°C. Weightings were performed on an analytical balance with an accuracy of 0.1 mg.

The density of the test item at 20ºC was 1.67 g/cm3. The relative density was 1.67.
