- Purity test date: 02 february 2016

- Storage condition of test material: In refrigerator (2-8°C)

- Treatment of test material prior to testing: No specific handling conditions required
Key result
Auto-ignition temperature:
240 °C
Atm. press.:
> 1 011.8 - < 1 022.3 hPa

Ignition of the test item within 5 minutes after introduction was observed with each sample volume and with each test a minimum auto-ignition temperature was obtained. The maximum deviation between the three values was < 10°C.

According to the guidelines, no further testing was required. The lowest temperature at which ignition of the test item occurred was 242°C. This temperature was rounded down to the nearest multiple of 5°C giving an auto-ignition temperature of the test item of 240°C

Conclusions:
An auto-ignition temperature apparatus was used for the determination of the degree of auto-ignitability of Sulfonyl vinyl ether perfluorurate.
The test item is auto-ignitable with an auto-ignition temperature of 240°C at 1011.8 – 1022.3 hPa.
Executive summary:

The Sulfonyl vinyl ether perfluorurate is auto-ignitable with an auto-ignition temperature of 240°C at 1011.8 – 1022.3 hPa.

Description of key information

One reliable key study (Klimisch 1) is available. The auto-ignition temperature was determined according to recognized gudielines (EU method A.15, DIN 51794 and IEC 79 -4) and under GLP.

No deviations from the guidelines were observed during the test.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
