Endpoint:
density
Remarks:
density
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: Study following official guideline not GLP compliant
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 109 (Density of Liquids and Solids)
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
pycnometer method
Type:
density
Density:
ca. 0.55 g/cm³
Temp.:
20 °C

The substance was dried but the final sample was to sticky and viscous as to allow a measurement of the density. The density of the substance as usually produced and put on the market , i.e. as an aqueous solution at 30% wt, was therefore tested. Under the experimental conditions the real density is equal to 0.55 g/cm3

Conclusions:
The substance density was tested following OECD 109. Under the experimental conditions the real density of a 30% solution is equal to 0.55 g/cm3.
Executive summary:

The substance density was tested following OECD 109 by using pycnometers.

Description of key information

real density at 20°C (solution at 30%)= 0.55 g/cm3

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The substance density was tested following OECD 109 (Ricci, 2014). Under the experimental conditions the real density of a 30% solution is equal to 0.55 g/cm3.
