Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Test substance did not catch fire. The substance did not propagate burning of a 200 mm length of the strip in less than four minutes, therefore burning rate test did not need to be performed.

Interpretation of results:
non flammable
Conclusions:
The substance was tested following EU MEthod A10. Under the experimental conditions the substance did not propagate burning of a 200 mm length of the strip in less than four minutes, therefore burning rate test does not need to be performed.
Executive summary:

The substance was tested following EU MEthod A1. Under the experimental conditions the substance did not propagate burning of a 200 mm length of the strip in less than four minutes, therefore burning rate test does not need to be performed.

Description of key information

Non flammable

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The substance was tested following EU MEthod A1. Under the experimental conditions the substance did not propagate burning of a 200 mm length of the strip in less than four minutes, therefore burning rate test does not need to be performed.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the CLP Regulation (EC 1272/2008), 2.7 section, flammable solids, powdered, granular or pasty substances or mixtures shall be classified as readily combustible solids when the time of burning of one or more of the test runs, performed in accordance with the test method described in Part III, sub-section 33.2.1, of the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria, is less than 45 seconds or the rate of burning is more than 2.2 mm/s.

In the flammability test performed the substance did not propagate burning of a 200 mm length of the strip in less than four minutes, therefore the substance resulted non flammable.
