- JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
The test item is defined as a slightly yellow to greenish paste as defined in Section 4.1. of IUCLID (Anon, 2017). The glass transition temperature was determined as -17.6°C (Section 4.2. of IUCLID, Anon, 2017) and therefore in accordance with Regulation 1272/2008 (CLP) the substance is defined as a liquid. However, the nature of the liquid is a highly viscous paste, which does not exhibit flowing characteristics at <= 20 °C, therefore the flammability of the substance was assessed using European Community (EC), EC no. 440/2008, Part A: Methods for the Determination of Physico-Chemical Properties, Guideline A.10: “Flammability (Solids)”, Official Journal of the European Union no. L142, May 31, 2008. This approach is consistent with the United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods (sixth revised edition, 2015)
