Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The individual results were within the estimated accuracy of ± 0.05 units.
Conclusions:
The test substance is denser than water.
Executive summary:

The relative density of the test substance was measured under GLP according OECD 109 / EU A3 guideline, pycnometer method. Two runs were performed, and the mean density at 20.0 °C was calculated. This result was then converted to relative density towards water at 4 °C.

The relative density of the test substance was found to be 1.17 at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C.

Description of key information

True relative density (D20/4) = 1.17.
The substance is denser than water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
1.17

Additional information

A fully reliable experimental study, conducted similarly to OECD/EU method, is available. Therefore it is considered as a key study, and the result is retained as key data.
