Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Seek medical advice, esp. if asthma or difficulties occur. Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse eyes with water immediately; if necessary seek an eye specialist. Emergency measure - Skin: Wash skin with soap and plenty of water (if necessary take a shower). Remove contaminated clothing and protective clothing. Emergency measure - Ingestion: Drink plenty of water. Seek medical advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water mist, foam, dry chemical, CO2 and others. Depended from the fire extension and the local circumstances. Product arising from burning: CO/CO2, H2O, NOx, SOx Product determined by test: N Protective equipment: Protective clothing, self contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Collect spilt product (if possible with an appropriate industrial vacuum cleaner) resp. adsorb liquid preparations with an adsorbent material and fill the waste material into well labelled containers. Avoid respiration of dusts and skin contact with the substance or its preparations or solutions. Observe the precaution measure described in 2.3.1.
Handling and storage
Handling: The substance should be handled under good industrial hygiene and in accordance to local regulations, in order to minimize exposition. When handling the substance wear appropriate working clothes, rubber gloves and goggles. Storage: Store dry and at room temperature. Keep store houses according to good hygiene principles. Keep all opened containers closed. Avoid spilt product outside of the containers.

Exposure controls / personal protection
General protective measures: Do not breathe dust.
Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Remove all contaminated clothing immediately.
Hygiene measures: Keep away from food and drink stuffs.
Do not eat, drink or smoke at work.
Wash hands before breaks and at end of work and use skin-protecting ointment.
Respiratory protection: Dust mask with particle filter
Hand protection: Wear suitable gloves e.g. of PVC or nitrile rubber. In the event of
Contamination, change protective gloves immediately.
Eye protection: safety glasses with side protection shield
Body protection: Wear protective clothing.
Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: unknown Chemical reaction with water: none
Thermal decomposition from 130 °C
Hazardous reactions: Dust explosion potential: not ignitable (modified Hartmann tube, VDI
2263/3673).
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not possible. Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: If the substance is used as intended, the substance does not show unfavourable effects. Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: A controlled discharge in insulated waste disposal sites is possible according to administrative and local regulations. Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: In incineration plants with flue gas scrubber. Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: In biological sewage plants the relative small dye concentrations can be eliminated by adsorption to the sewage sludge.
Product: If utilisation or recycling of the product is not possible, it should be disposed of according to the local regulations and laws, e.g. by incineration in a suitable plant.
European Waste Catalogue (EWC) code: 040217 Dyestuffs and pigments other than those mentioned in 040216
Uncleaned packaging: Soiled, empty containers are to be treated in the same way as the contents.
