After application of 1,1,2-trichloroethane at 162 mg (0.1 ml) into the conjunctival sac of the rabbit eye, a weak catarrhalic conjunctivitis as well as epithelial abrasion were observed. In addition, a healing keratitis was observed after 7 days. These symptoms completely disappeared within 2 weeks.
