Effects on developmental toxicity

Description of key information
The only study report was related to a developmental screening assay. This study report was found to be not reliable, according to the lack of information concerning test results.
Additional information

In a screening developmental toxicity study, the chemical was administered by gavage to mice on days 8 through 12 of gestation at the only dose of 350 mg/kg bw/day (Seidenberg et al., 1987). Any changes including teratogenicity or embryo/fetal viability, and/or postnatal growth and viability were observed. Therefore, the NOAEL for developmental toxicity was considered to be 350 mg/kg bw/day.

Substance induced negative results in the screening teratology study (Chernoff/Kavlock assay). No further assays for teratology assessment were conducted with substance.
