Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

Ready biodegradability has been assessed using OECD test method 301C which determined the substance to be readily biodegradable.

The screening test inherent to the biodegradability of the substance has also been calculated using the software BIOWIN v4.10 which predicts the substance to be readily biodegradable.

These results indicate that tributyl benzene-1,2,4 -tricarboxylate (DIPLAST TM 4) is expected to be readily biodegradable.

Experimental data on structural analogues of the registered substance show slower, inherent, biodegradability as expected as a result of the longer carbon chain length of the alcohol ester.
