Additional information

A adsorption/desorption study (Battelle 1991) was conducted according to EPA guideline subdivision N, Section 163-1. This study was selected as key study.

This study showed that the substance was readily adsorbed and readily desorbed to the four soils tested: loam, sandy loam, clay loam, and silt loam. Based on adsorption, the value of Koc is 303 for loamy soil. For sandy loam soil , the value of Koc is 202. For clay loam, the value of Koc is 278. For silt loam soil , the value of Koc is 192.

The range of Koc values for adsorption and desorption is 185 to 433 L/kg. The arithmetic mean value of 309 L/kg was used for the risk assessment.

It can be concluded that significant adsorption to solid soil is not expected.
