Materials and methods
- Principles of method if other than guideline:
- The isoelectric point (IEP) or point of zero zeta potential (PZC) was automatically determined using the Zeta Sizer nano ZSP with a Multi Purpose Titrator MPT2 (Malvern Instruments Ltd, Malvern, UK). The pH condition of the sample was altered by using the auto-titrator and the sample was circulated into the disposable capillary cell situated in the Zetasizer Nano for the zeta potential measurements to be made. The data was processed in a plot of the zeta potential of a sample measured as a function of pH.
- GLP compliance:
- no

Isoelectric point
- Isoelectric Point:
- < 1
- Medium:
- water
- Remarks on result:
- other: The IEP was determined by diluting a sample in the proportion of 1:5000 with demineralised water.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- The zetapotential of nanosilver Sample 2 is -23,3 mV and the IEP is lower than pH 1.
