Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Effect concentrations
Duration:
96 h
Dose descriptor:
LC50
Effect conc.:
1 500 µg/L
Nominal / measured:

Remarks on result:
other: 95%CL: 400-2200 µg Pb/L
Reported statistics and error estimates:
LC50 was calculated using measured metal concentrations. FORTRAN programmes based on the methods of Litchfield (1949) and Litchfield and Wilcoxon (1949) were used to compute the LC50s.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
A 96h-LC50 of 1500 µg Pb/L was determined for the tadpole Duttaphrynus melanostictus and can be considered in a weight-of-evidence approach for the hazard and risk assessment of Pb.
