Additional information

Several studies are available on the acute toxicity of butan-1 -ol to aquatic invertebrates with EC50 values far above 1000 mg/L (e.g. Shell 1998, BASF 1990, Kuehn 1989, UCC 1993). Only one out of these has been performed according to OECD guideline 202, under GLP-conditions and with analytical dose verification (Shell 1998). The EC50 (96h) was 1328 mg/L for Daphnia magna (measured concentration).
