Adsorption

The adsorption coefficient for n/i-C13-C15-aldehydes indicates that adsorption to soil is possible (estimated log Koc: 3.12; ECT, 2011).

Henry's Law Constant

The HLC for n/i-C13 -C15 -aldehydes was estimated from water solubility at 20°C (2 mg/L), vapour pressure at 20°C (300 Pa) and molecular weight (mean MW 212.4 g/mol):

H [20°C] = 31.86 *10^3 Pa*m^3*mol^(-1)

Based on this value the evaporation of n/i-C13 -C15 -aldehyde from the water surface and moist soil is expected.
