Description of key information

Inorganic substance, therefore biodegradation testing not applicable. However, dissociation products may be used in nitrification processes. Furthermore, hydroxylamine is a natural intermediate in biological nitrification under aerobic conditions. (see chapter 5.2.1)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Substance will readily dissociate in water and therefore not be stable in sediments or in water. In addition, due to the inorganic nature biodegradation testing is not applicable. For further informations please see Chapter 5.2.1.
