Description of key information
Silver nitrate is marketed in solid crystalline form and in the form of solutions.Typical particle size specifications have been provided by six major European producers/importers. The average mean particle diameters (D50) is approx. 375 µm. To assess the dustiness of crystalline silver nitrate, a test according to a rotating-drum method has been performed, indicating a very low dustiness of 0.83 mg/g. Thus, only ca. 0.08% (mass) of silver nitrate become airborne under simulated conditions of mechanical agitation.
