Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance decomposes before reaching the boiling point.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

There is one study that gives the boiling point of Propylidynetrimethanol, ethoxylated to be 368 °C (Currenta, 2009), one study that gives the boiling point to be >= 200 °C (Perstorp 2010) and two studies that give that Propylidynetrimethanol, ethoxylated decomposes before the boiling point is reached with two decomposition points being determined: 215 °C and 241 °C (Laus 2007, Lupra 3903 and Laus 2007, Lupra VP 9236). Since there are two valid and reliable studies that describe that the substance is decomposing before the boiling point is reached those are preferred to describe the key parameter "boiling point" over the remaining studies. Propylidynetrimethanol, ethoxylated has no boiling point.
