Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Surface tension (0.1% V/V, 20 °C) 49.7 < surface tension < 61.6 mN/m.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Surface tension:
55
in mN/m at 20°C and concentration in mg/L:
1 000

Additional information

Surface tension was investigated by the EU method A.5 (in line with OECD 115). At 1 g/L and 20°C the surface tension was >49.7 <61.6 mN/m and >51.3 < 65.2 mNm. The surface tension of an aqueous preparation of the test item (ß= 1 g/L) at 20°C was found to decrease from a value above 60 mN/m to about 50 mN/m within a measuring period of 3 and 5 hours, respectively.
