Additional information

The water solubility of aluminium dihydrogen triphosphate was determined using the flask method in a study conducted according to EU Method A.6 under GLP conditions (O’Connor and Woolley, 2010). The test material was determined to be essentially insoluble in un-buffered glass double-distilled water, with a limit value of less than 0.34 mg/L at 20.0 ± 0.5°C (final solution pH 4.0). The test material was insufficiently soluble in un-buffered glass double-distilled water to allow the affect of the temperature range 10°C to 30°C on solubility to be determined, with the reported limit value being common to all three temperatures investigated.

The test material was also determined to be essentially insoluble in pH 4 buffer solution with a limit value of less than 0.6 mg/L at 20.0 ± 0.5°C (final solution pH 4.1). However, limited solubility was determined in pH 9 buffer solution, with a solubility of 7 mg/L at 20.0 ± 0.5°C (final solution pH 8.4).
