Additional information

Aluminium dihydrogen triphosphate (EC 237 -714 -9, CAS 13939 -25 -8) is a solid white powder. The melting point of aluminium dihydrogen triphosphate has been determined to be > 450°C and therefore a study for boiling point does not need to be conducted. The density was determined to be 378.3 g/L at 20 °C and the water solubility has been found to be < 0.00034 g/L at 20.0 ± 0.5° in un-buffered glass double-distilled water (typical final solution pH 4). Thus, aluminium dihydrogen triphosphate is considered to be slightly soluble. The granulometry data gives the following information: The particle size distribution shows that > 90% of particles were < 100 µm in diameter. Therefore, the substance is considered to be inhalable.

Overall, it can be concluded that aluminium dihydrogen triphosphate (EC 237-714-9, CAS 13939-25-8) is not considered to possess any of the following hazardous physico-chemical properties: autoflammability and/or self-ignition, flammability, explosiveness and oxidising properties.

Thus, the substance does not meet the classification criteria for physical-chemical hazard in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) and the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS).
