Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Normalization of the boiling point to Tn (BÜCHI M-565):

Tn = Tm[1 + (ln(1013/P)/11.3)]

Tn: boiling temperature in K at normal atmospheric pressure (1013.25 hPa)

Tm: measured boiling temperature in K

P: atmospheric pressure in hPa

ln: natural logarithm

Conclusions:
A boiling point value of 198.4°C (471.6 K) at 1013 hPa was determined for the substance using a relevant test method. The result is considered to be reliable.

Description of key information

Boiling point: 198.4°C (471.6 K) at 1013 hPa (OECD 103)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
198.4 °C

Additional information

A measured boiling point value of 198.4°C (471.6 K) at 1013 hPa was determined for the substance using a photocell detection (capillary) method in accordance with OECD Test Guideline 103 and in compliance with a known quality system (ISO 9001:2008). The result is considered to be reliable, and the study is selected as key study. In addition to the photocell detection method, a DSC method was also performed by the same authors as the key study. In the DSC method, boiling point value of 198.3°C (471.5 K) at 1013 hPa was obtained for the registration substance.

In available secondary sources to which reliability could not be assigned, boiling point values of 194°C and 210°C at 1013 hPa were reported for the substance.
