Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

AEROBIC BIODEGRADATION
TAED and DAED are readily and ultimately biodegraded in a Sturm test (CO2 Evolution) OECD 301B. Ready biodegradablitiy is supported by biodegradation tests according OECD 301A. & 301E.
ANAEROBIC BIODEGRADATION
TAED was tested according OECD 311 and found to be biodegraded after 59d to 90-100%. As TAED and DAED are structurally similar and also have similar inherent properties e.g. fate and ecotoxicity it can be assumed that DAED is also rapidly biodegraded under anaerobic conditions (read across).
