The readily biodegradation test was performed by MITI according to OECD Guideline 301 C. A readily biodegradation test was performed on 2 -methylcyclohexyl acetate by MITI according to OECD Guideline 301 C. 30 mg/L of activated sludge were exposed to 100 mg/L test item for 4 weeks. The biodegradation obtained by indirect analysis was 99% (basis for effect: BOD), and by direct analysis 100% (basis for effect: GC). The test substance was hydrolyzed in the test solution to form 2 -methylcyclohexanol and acetic acid. The test substance 2 -methylcyclohexyl acetate was determined to be readily biodegradable.
