Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
In this peer-reviewed database, sodium fluoride is reported to have a density on average around 2.7583g/mL at 20 °C (+/- 2 °C) at atmospheric pressure for three references reviewed and five values reported. The densities range from 2.712 to 2.809 g/mL at 20 °C (+/- 2 °C) at atmospheric pressure.
Considering a water density of 0.999975 g/mL at 4 °C, a mean value of the relative density of sodium fluoride was calculated. It results to a relative density around 2.76 at 20 °C (+/- 2 °C) at atmospheric pressure.

According to the ECHA Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance, the Gmelin database, related to the Beilstein database should be considered as a peer-reviewed database. Hence, these values are considered as reliable with restrictions and equivalent to data from Handbook.
